Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), is one of the largest state technical universities in India with over 700 affiliated colleges. Established in 2000 and headquartered in Lucknow, it was renamed in 2015 to honour the late President. AKTU uses a 10-point CGPA system where percentage = CGPA × 10.
